Mutual Weirdness

Tol Barad Island, THE island in World of Warcraft right now. Why? Because it's the only place to get free gear for casual players like myself who no long raid. Every 2 hours the Horde and the Alliance battle it out for the chance to kill Argaloth and steal his gloves and pants. Or maybe I should say every 2 hours the Horde on my server sit and laugh as the Alliance try pitifully to PvP and hope all the Horde are off doing something at the moment. The Alliance are rather bad at PvP on my server and this shines most prominently when fighting for control of the island. It's a rare day for us to have control, so when we do, everyone takes full advantage and gets their groups together to do Baradin Hold. I normally manage to get my shaman in a run early in the week and last week was no exception. I've yet to see a piece of shaman loot drop though. Oh and I play Alliance. I have 2 other alts that are geared enough to do the run also, and last night, the last night before the ...

To start this off, I'm not easily offended and I can curse it up with the best of them. But the couple of pugs I ended up in a group with on Sunday were some of the worst I've ever met. After an agonizing 45 minute heroic queue on my Shaman, I get Stonecore. I don't mind Stonecore as long as the group knows what they are doing. First thing said by the tank in party chat "Hunter do you know how to trap" "yes" "Ok don't be a baddie". Then it just went down hill from there. The tank did more typing in party chat than tanking. Everything he said was either calling us 'baddies', calling the hunter 'fagerion" which was a play on the person's character name, or cussing us out for doing something he perceived as wrong. The last two months I've been very busy in the game. I completely ignored my main during the first week of the expansion in favor of leveling a new Worgen with the hubby. We got them to level 60 by the first weekend. We then switched to our mains, leveled them to 85 in two days then went back to our worgens. A week later they were 85 also. Sadly we've not done anything much with them since. I really enjoyed the worgen starting zone. The quests were very well done and the story line was interesting. We had a very easy time leveling as I chose to make a warrior while the hubby made a priest. He went shadow of course but for the low levels he was still able to keep me healed. After leaving the starting zone we decided to leave Kalmidor and level in the Eastern Kingdoms. We figured every new worgen being made in those first days would follow the trial of quests and be leveling through Dark Shore and Ashenvale so we chose to head to Westfall. Today marks the start of a whole new chapter in the World of Warcraft. Deathwing makes his devastating return and the world as we know will be forever changed. I'm disappointed in myself for getting distracted last night and not thinking about going and taking some screen shots of places that will be changing. The hubby and I ran ZG for the last time yesterday. No mounts for either of us and I didn't even think to take any screen shots. ZG was my first ever raid. My rogue had just gotten to level 60 and the guild I had joined happened to be a raiding guild. I had to practically beg for an invite and they eventually let me in. Her gear was crap, but I gave it my all. I died so many times as I had no idea what I was doing. What I remember best is getting drunk from the spider bites and not being able to see anything as I didn't know about the full screen glow effect and that it could be turned off. I really feel that this acheivement deserves its own post rather than thrown in at the bottom of another. The reason it was done that way was because that post was originally posted on a community site and I didn't want to make 2 posts at the same time. But here I can do what ever I want so here goes! It took me ages to finally get this mount! I love it to bits and I've been wanting it for AGES! Why did it take me so long you might ask? Well my beloved shaman, my main, is cursed it seems. The RNG Gods hate her with a passion when it comes to mount drops. She only has 2 mounts that come from drops, the Bronze Drake and the Black Twilight Drake from OS10 3D. Not another single dropped mount does she have. I've bought the Chopper, the Travelers Tundra Mammoth, the Hodir Exalted White Mammoth. I don’t normally blog about my World of Warcraft playing here but this was a really good week for my new little guild and we are so excited so I’ve decided to share. If you are confused about what anything means, please feel free to ask. I've also made a post on my Blourm explaining many of the basic terms used in the game. And because it was our first huge accomplisment as a guild and I really don't care that there were only 5 of us in the group in the guild I made sure to get a group picture! Well, raiding has been very kind to us since that day. Friday the 5th was our first scheduled day to start raiding after the guild meeting. We get 5 of us together, 2 tanks and 3 dps, so we need heals. I spam chat for an hour and all I can get is 2 more dps and no heals. So we decide to try again on Saturday. As some of you may know I'm hopelessly addicted to World of Warcraft an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). I've been playing for nearly 5 years now and I love the game. I have 8 level 80 characters plus 3 more in their mid 70s. My husband and I met through the game and it is a part of our lives.  One of my sisters likes to give me crap because we pay $15 each every month to play this game. But $30 once a month for unlimited entertainment is so much cheaper than dinner and a movie that we'd only get to do once a month. Recently Blizzard (the company that owns World of Warcraft) released a new feature for WoW and their other games. Real ID. Real ID was a revolutionary new chat system for the game.
